Event Details

Presented by the Hamilton Chapter of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, attendees will be treated to a slide presentation discussing our Solar System, Galaxy and Universe, with an emphasis on how vast space is and how tiny Earth is compared to other planets and heavenly bodies. Visitors are invited to have questions ready for discussion. Following the talk, telescopes will be available to view the Moon and other objects. Feel free to bring your own pair of binoculars and/or telescope too, and if time permits, lessons on how to use them will be available.

Free Program. Registration Required.

Program Policies

Cancellation of Program by the Library

·        Registrants will be notified of a cancelled program as early as possible.

·        Any program may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. Please register early to avoid disappointment. 

·        All fees paid will be refunded.

Cancellation of Registration by the Registrant

·        Registrants will notify the Library immediately if they are unable to attend. 

·        Cancellations received less than one week before the program date will not receive a refund. 

·        Registrants who miss or forget a program will not receive a refund. 


·        The Library is a public space. Attendance at Library Programs and events constitutes consent to be photographed for County of Brant Public Library publicity purposes. 

·        Names of individuals will be used in photograph captions only with express written consent on a Photo Permission Form.
