Cooking Connections (BUR Adult)

Event Details

In partnership with the Brant County Health Unit, these intergenerational cooking classes offer a fun opportunity for youth and older adults to learn from each other in the kitchen! Each session, comprised of four interactive classes, is designed to teach new skills to both adults and youth with regards to food preparation and nutrition through a combination of stovetop and countertop cooking techniques. There will also be an additional educational aspect as participants will learn about how technology can be used to keep track of and maintain healthy habits.

Registration opens on Tuesday, June 04 at 10:00am at a cost of $8.00 per person, per session of 4 classes. Space in this series is extremely limited and your spot is not confirmed until payment is received. Registration is for adults aged 55+ and youth aged 10+. Library staff must be informed of any allergies when registering.

Program Policies

Cancellation of Program by the Library

· Registrants will be notified of a cancelled program as early as possible.

· Any program may be cancelled due to insufficient numbers. Please register early to avoid disappointment.

· All fees paid will be refunded.

Cancellation of Registration by the Registrant

· Registrants will notify the Library immediately if they are unable to attend.

· Cancellations received less than one week before the program date will not receive a refund.

· Registrants who miss or forget a program will not receive a refund.

Photography/Recording

· The Library is a public space. Attendance at Library Programs and events constitutes consent to be photographed for County of Brant Public Library publicity purposes.

· Names of individuals will be used in photograph captions only with express written consent on a Photo Permission Form.
